What is antique combination safe?

When we look at the history of the safes, we found out that people need them for many reasons. One of the reasons for these safes was the security. People need some kind of storing place in which they can put their precious and important thing. And that was the revolutionary time when we get the safes. But there was another important aspect regarding the safes. There should be any thing in the safe that only owner knows and no one else could be able to open them. And if you look at the antique safe, you would notice that these safes have the combination locks.

The safes that open up with some kind of key or numbers combinations are known as the combination safes. The concept of the combinational safes was about in eighteenth century which is probably the era in which we saw the safe history had started. In this article, I will discuss some of the safes that were opened by different combinations and I will mention the ways in which they were used to open. The most popular safe that came with the facility of combinational locks was circa. It was first made in almost 1895. The circa era from 1895 to 1910 had three vaults home deposit value safes. They were simple metal safes that were made for the home use. This safe has just one lock. After the mentioned time spam, circa introduces the first combinational safe in 1897 which was known as cook patent safe.

It was built from inside with the complete wooden material and outside was metal. So it was a first safe that com up with the combination lock. In 1886, circa introduces the salesman safe that was mostly used in offices and banks at that time to keep the private and financial records of the work. It was built with wood and has an ornate bolt work lock. From inside it has the double door with the wood material that was fitted in it and the inner secret lock that was opened with another key. In 1888, the salesman safe was further enhanced in the England. It was a unique opening safe at its time that has a special lock which had the trick hidden key release. In the in side of the safe was a steel drawer with the separate keys to open the lock.

The salesman Netherlands sample was also unique. In 1880, the LIPS were the name of the safe. It was a bolt work lock that was opened by the key release. In 1888, moslers made a safe that had four wheels. It was base on the interior lock system and outside was separate lock. Another was in 1905 that was having a door opening alarm. It was a great revolutionary safe made by Meilink. It was based on two drawers inside the safe and was an ornate based safe. It was built by following the clock mechanism.
So these were the some of the antique combination safes that gave the idea of security till now. These are now available online as the antiques or you can buy them from any old antique shop or auction.
